Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Streaks Strokes, made by Crunchy Bagel Pty Ltd, handles your information. The short version: there is no account and no ads, and your workouts stay on your devices, in Apple Health and in your own iCloud.
What information does Streaks Strokes obtain?
Streaks Strokes works with the workout data your rowing machine or Apple Watch produces while you row: pace, stroke rate, power, distance, and heart rate. This data is stored on your device.
With your permission, Streaks Strokes saves your workouts to Apple Health and reads data such as your workouts, Activity rings and heart rate from it, to show your history and power features like Ring Chaser and heart-rate zones. Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising, sold, or shared with third parties.
There is no account and no sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information.
Bluetooth and your rowing machine
Streaks Strokes uses Bluetooth to connect your iPhone directly to your rowing machine's monitor. The connection is direct: no account, cloud service or other device sits in between. The diagnostic reports described below can include timing information about that connection, such as how long a gap in the data lasted, but never heart rate or other health data.
Automatically collected information
Streaks Strokes collects anonymous crash reports and basic diagnostic information, so that problems in the app can be found and fixed. This does not include your name, email address, or any data from Apple Health.
Separately, if you have opted in to share App Analytics with developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics.
Does Streaks Strokes collect location information?
No. Streaks Strokes does not collect location information, precise or otherwise.
Do third parties see or have access to your information?
Your data may be included in your own iCloud device backups, which you control through your Apple account. When you're signed in to iCloud, your workouts, streak, trophies and preferences sync between your devices through your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. The anonymous crash and diagnostic information described above is processed on our behalf by a service provider (Sentry) and is not sold or shared for advertising. Beyond that, we would only disclose information where required by law.
Purchases
Optional workout packs are purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple; the app only learns which purchases you own so it can unlock them.
What are my opt-out rights, and what is retained?
To remove everything, use Delete All Data in the app's Settings → Manage Data, which also deletes the copy in your iCloud. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. Workouts saved to Apple Health remain yours and can be reviewed or deleted at any time in the Health app. We hold no account for you, so there is nothing personal to delete. The anonymous crash and diagnostic information described above is not linked to you.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time, and any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
